In my work as a coach, I am known for my empathy, calmness and compassion.  There is no judgement, I don’t tell you what to do – you’ve got plenty of people who will do that for you!  I help you figure out what you want.

From Burnout… to Finding a New Purpose

‘Rediscovering your passion’ – only when you’ve got back to yourself, found your mojo, or however you prefer to phrase it – only then can you figure out what it is that you really want for yourself.

Burnout clouds your thinking, drains your energy, destroys your confidence.

The World Health Organisation recognise burnout as an occupational phenomenon, defined as ‘a syndrome resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed’.

It has three main characteristics:

  • Feelings of energy depletion, or exhaustion
  • Increased mental distance from one’s job, or feelings of negativity or cynicism related to one’s job
  • Reduced professional capacity

And the common signs typically include:

  • Feeling tired or drained, most of the time
  • Feeling helpless, trapped and/or defeated
  • Feeling detached or alone in the world
  • Having a cynical/negative outlook
  • Self-doubt
  • Procrastinating and taking longer to get things done
  • Feeling overwhelmed
